  22. There is another possible cause of the failure when selecting the .avi save 
  23. option. If you had an animation option selected when the scene file was 
  24. saved, you can't select an animation save option without causing a failure. 
  25. One way around this is to use an editor to change the animation save option 
  26. in the scene file to 0 (zero.)  Hope this helps...fred

  33. I really did not anticipate these problems with AVI's
  34. and Rev C Lightwave/Intel.  I'm running NT on a Pentium
  35. 100 and have had AVI's working (albeit less than satisfactory)
  36. with Rev B.  I have replaced the DLL's listed before.  Every
  37. time I select the AVI savers, I get a crash straight to Dr. Watson.
  38. When I try to save a render to NewTek-Avi, I also get a visit
  39. from the doctor.  I can only think of two possibilities:
  40. Maybe NT is using DLL's from my Window's 3.1 partition (I think
  41. some of the directories are in my paths) or maybe Intel Indeo Interactive
  42. won't allow it to work period.  I installed this after installing
  43. Rev C patch, and just recently attempted to use AVI's, discovering this
  44. problem.
